Dr Nina Bergdahl is a distinguished academic with a PhD in Information Society, deeply immersed in the dynamics of student engagement across online and physical spaces. Currently, Dr Bergdahl teaches in the pre-service teacher program and the master’s program on Digital Learning and is active in the rDr Bergdahl is an Associate Senior Lecturer in the research program Learning in a Digitalised Society, she teaches in the pre-service teacher program and the master’s program on Digital Learning and explores emerging technologies such as robots, artificial intelligence, and digital learning environments, across educational levels, continuously striving to enhance the quality and accessibility of education in the digital age.
Nina is also the author of the book Designs for Engaged Learning (Design för engagerat lärande), in which she explores learning modes, the concept of learning design, and the nuances of academic engagement and disengagement.
The book provides a practical, step-by-step guide for developing engaging learning designs tailored to blended and online learning environments, making it a valuable resource for educators aiming to enhance student engagement in the digital era.
