Projects

I have participated in research in the following projects:

2022- ongoing Learning in the Digitalised Society (LeaDS). The aim builds on the assumption that the digitalisation of society gives rise to challenges and opportunities for learning that require changes in skills, attitudes, work processes and methods. The project exlores how we can ensure that education and work remain relevant and future-oriented? Learning and knowledge building in a digitalised world encompasses new learning environments/spaces/tools/media and conditions for teaching and learning, and peoples’ and organisations’ competencies in managing the digital society

2020-2023 “MITis” (Malmo IT in Schools/Malmö IT i skolan). The aim of the project is to study the digitalisation of education about the uses of digital technologies. More specifically the project focuses on teaching practices, influences on students and learning in upper secondary and adult education. The project is funded by the city of Malmo.

2020-2022 Ifous: “Digital Learning Environments – Equality in remote and distance education”. (Digitala lärmiljöer – Likvärdig utbildning med fjärr- och distansundervisning.) This project focuses on exploring the conditions and realities of the current remote and distance education, spanning K-12 and adult education.

2020-2022 Innovation in the wake of the crisis. EdAider – for adaptive teaching in the classroom as well as for distance learning during and after times of crisis. (Innovation i krisens spår. EdAider – för adaptiv undervisning i klassrummet likväl som för distansundervisning i och efter kristider). The project aims to develop a sustainable hybrid platform that has the capacity for distance learning in crisis, as well as classroom and distance learning in normal times – with unique support for data-driven analysis.

2016-2020 “I USE IT” – This project, funded by Stockholm City aimed to explore the effects of the 1:1 implementation of laptops in secondary schools. While the project involves several researchers at the Computer and Sciences department, my specific field concerned student engagement, and disengagement in Blended Learning. Student engagement and disengagement were approached using observations, interviews, diaries, self-reports, design-based research, small and large-scale questionnaires and grades.
